Xeomin is a non-invasive treatment that uses botulinum toxin type A to reduce wrinkles. Our clinic offers Xeomin treatments to help clients achieve a more youthful appearance.
Xeomin can help to diminish the appearance of dynamic wrinkles on the face, such as frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines on the forehead, crow’s feet in the outer corners of the eyes, and smile and laugh lines. The best candidates for Xeomin typically have good overall health, are not currently pregnant, and are not allergic to other botulinum toxin products (BOTOX® or Dysport). Speak with one of our team members during your consultation about your medical history, current medications, and your cosmetic goals in order for our medical providers to personalize a Xeomin treatment plan just for you!
Xeomin injections usually take less than 30 minutes, beginning to end, and can be administered right after your consult. Prior to being treated, the medical provider will cleanse the desired treatment areas before Xeomin is meticulously injected with a fine needle. The procedure is fast and most patients experience little to no discomfort. Generally, anesthesia is not necessary, but if requested, the provider is able to apply topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort. After your Xeomin treatment, pressure and cold compresses may be applied to the treated area to prevent minor bleeding or possible bruising.
Following your Xeomin treatment, you can return to your regular activities, but you should avoid exercise and other strenuous activities for the rest of the day. We may recommend that you sleep in a slightly elevated position and periodically use cold compresses to speed recovery and results. In the days after a Xeomin treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, and bruising, but these symptoms are common and easy to conceal with cosmetic makeup. Many individuals start noticing visible improvements within 7-14 days following their Xeomin injection, which may last about two to four months. At Versailles Medical Spa, we recommend scheduling follow-up appointments.
