Following a consultation to create your unique treatment plan based on your skin’s condition and needs, you can relax in one of our private treatment rooms as your facial treatment begins. Every facial process is personalized; however, most will start with a deep cleansing to clear away dirt, oil, and makeup. After the skin is clean, steam is used to open the pores, allowing the esthetician to easily extract whiteheads and blackheads. Often, this step is followed by a type of exfoliation, either completed by hand or with an add-on treatment (microdermabrasion, chemical peel or Zemits Hydro Luxx). We may massage a serum or mask into the skin for deep nourishment. Lastly, an SPF moisturizer is applied to protect the skin from sun damage after the treatment.
Following your facial, you may see mild redness and/or irritation, but this should subside on its own within 24 hours. Many patients will see clear improvements in the appearance and texture of their skin immediately after a facial treatment. However, your skin might break out a few days after the facial due to your skin clearing out the toxins within. This symptom will clear after a couple of days.
